00 has wrap around seating. If you can afford it I would go with the '01 it has a new/better tower, 3 ballast instead of 1 and three hatches in the back instead of one. All things are well worth it. But I love my 00.

The wake is huge, when i weigh it down. I throw two v-drive fly high sacs in the back, and the Open Bow triangle in the front plus the standard ski locker sac. This with a couple of buddies is around 3,000 lbs of weight.

Yup, we got the magic down last night for weighting. The wake was stupid big. You can't go wrong with that boat. It probably only has the center ballast, but it goes something like this: Center factory ballast (400lbs), 400lbs on each side of motor, 800lbs in the front and 500 in center of cockpit of the boat. Stupid big and tons of pop all the way back to 90+ feet of rope.

90+ feet of rope??? why would you ride back that far? Isn't 80+handle about the max you want to be back?

What engine do you have Evin. Does the boat have any trouble getn up or turnin around?

Boats got the MCX (350 horse), but it has not trouble getting out of the water at all. We've done the same to my friends boat with the 310 horse motor and its takes a little longer, but is still fine.

90' is a bit much for me (I ride between 80 and 85), but Aaron Aubrey and Allen Bichoffberger both ride 90+ behind my boat and go absolutely huge. Allen in thinking of going to 95, but he's a freak. He's actually only riding 25.2 mph, too and the wake is super clean at that speed.

Ya, that Allen is missing a few screws. 95? he is going end up landing on the other side of vics if he is not carful.

I like your interest in these 2 boats. I own an 99' and have ridden behind a 00'. I will say the the seating and ballast in the 00' is an advantage, but the price and old school look of the 99' is pretty fun too. I think the wakes are the same depending on how you weight them. You will find that throwing something big and stylish behind a 99' next to the cocky/yet sucks kid in the 05' is a good time. If you don't mind filling a few more sacks and want to save some cash, you'll be happy in a 99'. I am.
