I want to buy a wetsuit real soon but i dont know what brand to go with. Oneil, jetpilot, billabong, quicksilver i am sure there are more. I am thinking i want a thicker one like 4/3 whatever those numbers mean. Anyone have some advice? I have never used one and dont have anywhere that i could go to try one on. Also what measurements should i take in choosing size.

4mm torso, and 3mm extremeties. Basically the thickness of the neoprene.

Chris,

Being from the same region as you, I would recommend the thicker wetsuit for when the water is cold in the spring and early summer. I prefer a shorty wetsuit since my legs rarely get cold. I have an Oneil, which I really like especially compared to the Skilimited brand I used to have. Check out the size chart on the Oneil website, it is easy to use.
