Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to getting her wet.

Michael- We've had more snow this year than the last 10 years it seems like. Glad to see it gone, and hopefully won't come back! Of course, I got nailed with snow on the way home from the dealership yesterday....so, she got her first bath well ahead of schedule....It sucked thinking about your brand new clean boat getting drug through the salt and snow, but she's clean as new now!

Another sick looking boat. Even blinged out the trailer and tints this time. NIIIICE!

Can't wait for the summer.

Shane-I'm not real sure...based on my experience I'd guess and say 20%. My brain wasn't functioning properly when the tint guy showed up yesterday morning at my boys shop, so I think I just uttered 'tint it'. Glad it came out ok! lol

PS: It looks darker then it really is due to the lack of sun when I took the pic.

Naw,

Great looking Supra. You'll enjoy that this summer. I've got a question about the Boatmate trailer. What size wheels and tires are on it and the brand if you can tell. Also did they come on it from boatmate?

Thanks for your time and enjoy your new ride.

Is it easier to tint the new Supra front glass now that it is all one piece? I know on my 2005 it was near impossible due to the separate glass sections.

awesome color scheme congrats

Joe- The wheel and tire specs are:

5 on 4.5" bolt pattern
minimum pilot 3"
backspacing roughly 12 mm positive offset
Wheel size: 18x 8.5
Tire size: 255 45 zr 18
Tire: Nexen model n3000
Wheel: Panther Juice 240cc

As far as wheel options from Boatmate, it would be best to work through your dealer because they have to order the trailer set up for the big rims (approximately 4" wider then stock).

Patrick- I don't know if it's easier or not. I checked in while he was doing it and nothing really looked easy about it....took a few hours to get it looking right.

Naw,

Thanks for the info. You wouldn't think changing the wheels and tires on your trailer would be such a pain in the butt.

Thanks for the info, I am going to check with a local shop on the tint. They couldn't do my 2005. Boat looks great!

Patrick-I just looked at pics of my '05's windshield and compared to the 06 and 08. I'm really not seeing anything that would prevent them from doing it. Let me know if I missed something.

The only thing that is different when compared to doing a car, is that you can't get the tint to sit all the up against the rubber molding because you don't want to cut and stuff tint back there. So, there's about 1/16-1/8" of a gap. Solution: 1/8" black detailing pinstripe put on the outside around the window to cover the gap. Just FYI

With Cabin fever setting in, I already removed the stock sub last night and took measurements for a replacement, enclosed 12". Not sure if I'll need another amp yet...guess we'll see.

I had a 2005 24 ssv , the front side windshield was split a little after the curve ,it was not one solid piece, 2 separate pieces of glass. It made it difficult to tint on the curve and look good since they had to cut the film on the curve. Not sure if this makes since, but look at some pics of the 05 24 and you will see what I am talking about. Thanks for the tip on the 1/8" black detailing pinstripe. Did the tint shop have this, or did you have to get it somewhere?

Ahh..gotcha. I haven't got the pinstriping yet, but the tint guy said it can be found at any auto parts store.

Hit me up with a PM on the pinstripe info when you find it if you don't mind?

Naw did you order the wheels from boatmate or did you put them on? I know boat mate puts on wider fenders for larger wheels.
