HEres the deal. 03 V230 When I put the boat in gear and come to speed slowly there is no problem. If I try to hit the throttle semi hard like to pull up a rider the rpm shoots up and it seems as though its slipping. I had the seat off and listened while someone else drove the boat and it sounds like a gear slipping. Is there a coupling or bearing that could have spun or does it sound more like I need to change the clutch? I have checked the linkage and it is adjusted fine/ Any help or info will be greatly appreciated.

check your trans oil level. if the level gets low, the plate will have trouble staying engaged. Other than that I don't know.
