i want to buy 2 amps, a 4000 watt amp and a 800watt amp, with the 4000 watt amp i am buying a 1.0 farad capacitor , i am wondering how much power i will need to run this? can the stock alternator run it? will i need an ambulance alternator? Thanks

You will need more than one capacitor. The rule is for every 1000 watts you need a 1 farad cap. I have a 2000 watt amp in my truck with one cap and if I have the volume up very loud the lights dim inside and outside the truck.

yes, but the only way you would need a 10 farad cap is if your running 10000 watts. So why pay for a 10 fard cap when buying $ would be cheaper.

do u think a new alternator would be needed with a 5 farad setup? and would i be able to hook up just one 5 farad cap, and run it to my 2 amps, or would i need a 4 farad cap and a 1 farad cap and hook them up to each amp seperatly?

these are the amps i wish to get, are they good quality?
