The new 08 Centurion web site is really coming along nicely. I bet those new towers are pretty strong – The double tubes are pretty unique.

The towers with the double tubes remind me of those old roll bars on big lifted trucks.

Ayone know what type of wake these boats are throwing yet? How they ride? What type of hull(classic deep V or more like Enzo 216)? Can't beat a 21ftr with a 100 inch beam. MAy have to come back if I move and there is a dealer up there in WI. I know it was aid before but what are these going for with triple ballast, hydro plate, pp, bimini and racks, u know the essentials. Is tandem trailer still standard?

BTW

BRING BACK RICK! Thanks again for everything brotha!

They are the same hull as the 216 only a foot sorter.

They are priced right!

Team Cbk said they start at just over 36k :-()

On this boat the Tandem is not standard

Kevin, Have you seen the new options listed on the Centurion web site?

SurfRight System
420 php 8.1L
Transom lights
Kicker ABYC-Approved Amplifier
Skylon In-Box Subwoofer
Ampitheatre Stereo System

What's the SurfRight System?

Reverse rotation tranny?
Old     (bigshow)      Join Date: Feb 2005       11-05-2007, 8:10 PM Reply
I think the reverse prop rotation has been around since '06. The option lets you choose prop rotation. The SurfRight System must be something different.

Or just a new marketing term
I will see what I can find out.

I doubt it's a marketing term, not unless 8.1L 420 PHP is also a marketing term.

I'm pretty sure they were working with someone on a new idea, I don't know if this is it or not.

Hey, is the 8.1L a Merc?

yes

So it turns out that Darren and I where right it is the new marketing term for the right hand rotation tranny... Go figure

Come on, a gear and a prop are not much of a system. The new web site is by far he best I've seen from Centurion. But what they've done here is obfuscate. No outsider will know what a "SurfRight System" is. I think they should go back and show reverse prop rotation under the options list. More people will understand that.

could be but there are lots of examples of "what they've done here is obfuscate"

Taps
wedge
fct
smartplate
Zero Off
Star gazer
Sportshift
Hydrogate
Smarttow
etc

There are lots of people that make there living obfuscating

The wedge and smart plate make some sense.

It took me about a year to figure out TAPS and the Hydrogate were about.

Whoever came up with Star Gazer is just loopy.

I have no idea what fct, zero off, sport shift, and smart tow are. Who want’s to be in that group?

I am not saying that it is good or bad just a fact.

Flight Control Tower Correct Craft
ZeroOff An new Gps based Cruise Control
Sportshift Correct Craft
SmartTow Mercury Marine Cruise Control

I think calling it "surf right" might not be such a bad thing. Sure, people may not know what it is, but by giving it that name it might raise some eyebrows and get people interested enough to want to know more. I definitely think that it falls in the same category as the Wedge, Hydrogate, etc. I guess we'll see!

Kevin,

Any chance at getting under 3400lbs?

The marketing guys probably thought "Surf Right System" sounded better than "Goofy Kit"

Tim,
We're being told they're working on that.

Well the Air warrior version of the Falcon with a tower 2 ballast tanks and pumps acording to the web site weighs in at 3780.
http://www.centurionboats.com/boats/air/Falcon%20V%20Air%20Warrior
IF they weight the Falcon Version with no ballast tanks Like LSL requires it might come in around 3400

thats it just a term for goofy rotation

marketing girl not guys

8.1L 420 PHP is also a marketing term.

what does that mean?? its merc 496

centurion is mma certified they believe posting the most accurate weight possible as the boat is offered with standred equipment
you might be able to shave more weight by ordering a falcon without the tower and ballast.....
