Hey guys, i have an outboard and i was wondering if adding those "wings" or "foils" (im not sure what they are called, but they are like two wings that go bolted in the base of the engine underwater just above the propeller) Will enhance my wake or add performance.
I know they help the boat to plane faster, but, do they make the wake better or they make it worse?
Thanks guys
By the way heres some pics of my boat, I know its not a vdrive but i LOVE it!

They will flatten out your wake. They are designed to raise the stern of the boat to aid in planning and fuel economy, completely the opposite of what you want for wakeboarding(sitting low in the back and throwing a fat wake).

you have to trim up a bit your engine to get a better wake.
Those wings are for better planning and hole shot.
