Just dropped "gimpy" off at the hospital this morning. He should be in surgery until about noon. (4-5 hours)

Shawn just got home today from the hospital...seems to be alright...He is loving the meds...

They had some issues w/ the surgery and had to go back in for a minor second surgery...I am sure he will post up soon and get some pics...

Whats up fellas, hope everybody is well and had a good labor day weekend. Well today is Thurs. the 11th and I've finally made it home. Exactly one week ago surgery was performed and was a success. Surgery took just over 5hrs. On Sat. morning doctors came in to change my dressings and remove the 2 drainage tubes in my leg. The first tube was removed with ease. The second tube on the otherhand was not so easy. The doctor told me he was going to pull on the tube with a little more force. So he started pulling and pulling and pulling and all of a sudden SNAP!
The tube broke clean off at my knee with a piece of it in the doctors hands and the other stuck inside my knee. So Sun. night I went in for my 2nd surgery, they recut me open went in and retrieved the tube. That took just over 3hrs. So now I am home and on my way to recovery. Thank you all again for your support and wishes. See you all on the water soon.

Rookie mistake to "accidently" sew/stitch the drain!

Make sure you itemize your medical bill so you don't end up paying for the 2nd surgery......... it was the surgeons mistake and they should have to pay for that one not you.

I am so glad your on the road to recovery. That sucks you had to have a 2nd surgery though. You've been through a lot, get better and at least they did it on the right leg and not the good one... I think that's what Sharpies were made for.
