Thanks to the hospitality of Pete & Patty Twelker the wife and I got to spend some great houseboat time at Shasta. It was my first chance to use the new cam to shoot wakeboarding and I got lots of footage of Jeremy, Josh and Chris. Here is a quick edit of some of their sequences. Check out the full HD version download if you have the bandwidth.

Chris rides at 85', Josh and Jeremy either 80 or 85'. They were all at 26-27mph I believe. Pete does all the driving so I really don't know the details. That was behind his 07 VLX, there was a sack in the pass thru but no other ballast besides stock and the wedge I believe. We had a lot of kids on board so he didn't need much extra. I believe he runs a few more sacks on the Delta when it's just the 4 of them. When they are back from Villa Lagos perhaps Pete can chime in with the particulars.

I have an 05 VLX and we run 2 locker sacks, a big sack on the floor, a tube sack in the pass thru along with 500 lbs of lead, stock ballast and wedge (wish I had the big motor!).

I'm still figuring out the EX1 and am about 90% there with the look I want and getting comfortable with the operation and controls. (the cam is an ergonomic nightmare)

I'm amazed how well the image holds up even under all the file compression I used to get a reasonably sized segment on vimeo.

We're going to do a lot of shooting here at the Delta in sept/oct so I'm excited after seeing the results so far.

Hey.... Sick riding. Chris is wrecking shop. His riding is soo smooth. I don't think he's ever ridden better than he is right now. We're trying to get a CIE team trip together for end of september or early october at McClure. Rich, you might just have to come along and get some footage. It looks like that camera is treating you right.

Funny how Josh is like the "mini-me" version of Chris. Not hard to tell they've been riding together a lot this year. I wouldn't mind having a bit of Chris' style rub off on me. Josh is killing it, too.

Hey Rich, I have one of these camera supports for my EX1 and it helps a ton with the ergonomic akwardness of the camera. Definitely an accessory worth getting and it is cheap.

When we are done shooting this fall I think everyone will be amazed at how well J&J are riding. (Everyone that isn't already amazed). I got a kick out of watching Josh and Chris sitting in front of my laptop each night, micro-analyzing every trick.

Mikel,

I bought one of those last month, I guess it's time to get it out of the box!

I see Chris still doesn't know how to land facing the boat. ;) Mad skills.

Sorry- I didn't even see this thread until today. In that video, all 3 riders are at 80 feet. Boat speed was 24.4 +or- .2mph. The power wedge was full down. All stock ballast including front was full. There was a 500 sack in the pass thru. There were probably 7 or 8 people in the boat. On the Delta, we set up the boat pretty much the same, but with more weight to compensate for the missing people. Thanks for posting the vid Rich!

Hey great video. If you don't mind me asking, what is your set up for the editing of such video (computer, program, etc.)?
