Here's the schedule:

Sloans Lake
May 12th, 2007
Time: 11:00 a.m.
Pulls begin at 11:00 a.m.
BBQ at 1:00 p.m.
Raffle at 2:30 p.m.
Event will last till whenever (we have the reservation till 9 p.m.!)
The schedule is tenative and could change a bit, but for the most part that's it!

We have flyers made up for anyone who wants to help distribute.

I will have the final list of sponsors here soon as well as a list of all the schwag that's up for grabs in the raffle. There will most likely be freebies given out as well. Our goal is that everyone goes home with something!

This event is based on ticket sales. We need ticket sales to make this happen.

Hey Kraig and all other Denver locals,

I've never been to Sloan's, so I was curious if there is a place to camp. I wanted to head up to D-town on Friday, and just camp at Sloan's Fri. night. Also, I was also going to bring the boat so my buddies could ride Sun. after the event, so I was wondering if there was a place I could keep the boat close by during the event, possibly even tow people if they want to ride behind an '05 X-2 with additional ballast. Let me know, can't wait for the event!

Ryan- Sloans isn't a lake that you can camp at unfortunately. The last two Meet & Greet's we've done have been at state parks where you could camp at. Sloans is also a lake that you have to buy a season pass for. However, we might still be able to get your boat on the water. I'll let you know about that as that info comes available. Let me know what else we can do to help you guys out. Feel free to drop me an email or give me a call.

Ryan - I live in a one bedroom condo, but if you and your buddies are into "roughing it" a little, you're welcome to crash on my floor (or the cushions from my chairs) Friday night. Otherwise, there is camping just down the hill from my condo at Bear Lake State Park and I'm only about 20 minutes from Sloan's (FYI - Bear Lake does not allow boats).

Hey Everyone! We're getting closer to the event and we need ticket sales! As I get the details worked out with our sponsors they'ere going to be asking what kind of attendance we are looking at and as of right now it looks very bleak. We need ticket sales to show to our sponsors that this event is going to be big as well as get funds in to pay for the event.

WELL WELL, Glad to see you kept this going, Kriag. I dropped out of the scene for last couple of years, but glad to see what we started a few years ago has grown (Even though I missed the first one due to a hospital visit). I'm back on the scene and willing to bring a crew. I may be starting a wakeboard summer camp/school here in Aspen, so I would have some locals that would join. Keep me informed and if you need any help with anything, let me know. I can start getting on some sponsers if that might help.
I also think catering is the way to go. very inexpensive and I may be able to help there as well. (Hickory House)

Shayn! What up? Long time no talk. Yes, this thing has grown like a weed that just won't go away!

Last year was great, as you read in the first post on this thread we had a BBQ and rented out an area at Horsetooth.

Anyway, looking forward to finally meeting you and everyone else on here who is new to the event.

We need ticket sales!

Sales so far have been on the light side, they are coming in but oh so slowly. IN fact, most of the people on this post who have said they are attending have not paid yet. I'm sure you all will I'm not doubting that. But we need the sales to pay for the event and most of the costs are in this upcoming week. Catering, permits, etc.. The caterer is going to need head counts as well. So please, anyone and everyone who is planning on attending purchase your tickets. Also, I am meeting with all our sponsors (One this evening) and I will need to finalize all that they are donating. My goal is to get enough freebies for everyone and I need head counts! Let's make this event like none other here in Colorado, but the ball needs to get rolling now.

Thanks for all your support everyone and let's make this event happen! It all starts with you guys!

I just spent about 4 hours with Laef (sp?)at S&W chatting about stuff. He's a super cool guy and is very enthusiastic about making a difference in the area. I'm sure he would be down to help out if someone asked him.

Ryan, as Mike said, we'll be at the docks. They are located on the north side of the lake. The lake isn't that big so it's pretty obvious.

The ticket sales are coming in more and more everyday! The numbers are getting bigger, but we are still below where we need to be so please, keep the sales coming. Paul and a few others, I am still in need of your ticket sales. Bill Taylor, thanks! You are definitely representing!! Bill is bringing quite of few people.

The caterer wanted final count ten days out from the event but I was able to push him to Wednesday morning, which means I need all ticket sales by Tuesday evening. If you know of anyone else who would be interested, please spread the word!
