My perfect pass has not been working properly the last few trips to the lake. I set the speed at 21 and it varies between 24 and 18. I did all the troubleshooting tests in the manual and it still isn't right. Last night it slowed all the way down to 12 and I never got the blinking pound sign that lets you know the speed control has disengeged. The boat is a 2002 Wakesetter VLX and I had the dealer install the perfect pass. The speed varies no matter how much or how little weight I have in the boat. My KDW is set at 125 and the NN is at the stock setting (90 I think). These settings have worked for me for the remainder of last season and the begining of this season so I know they work for me. I have tried adjusting but it didn't work. Has my speed control gone bad or am I looking at a bad install? Maybe the cable is hanging up somewhere? I'm going to try calling them on Monday but I was curious if people have had problems and know the solution to this because I may go out on Sunday. Thanks

Maybe the paddle wheel has gone bad? Check it out and make sure that it spins freely. Also check the servo motor is working and hasn't rusted. But I'm sure calling them will be the best way to solve the problem.

Look at the photo and compare with your boat.

Crawl under your boat when it is on the trailer, find the little paddle wheel and give it a spin. If it doesn't spin freely, clean it out so that it does. You should be able to pull the entire assembly out the top fairly easily so you can work on it someplace besides laying on your back.

And like Bill said, PP has proven to be very responsive. Give them a call or send them email, they will help you out.
