well i am looking at a supra launch ssv, its a 2001 with 340 hours, in very nice shape. It was formally owned by josh saunders. its got ppwp, full ballast, v-drive, 2 axle trailer, bimini, speaker setup with sub, tower speakers, transom shower, heater, pretty much all the goodies, What do you all think would be a good buy on this boat?

Yeah 25k sounds more like a screaming deal actually. It all really depends on the shape, but that sounds like a smoking deal. Good luck. I would think $30k, but that is without doing any research.....

I'd jump all over that deal if the boat is in good shape.

I looked very hard at the SSV in 2001, it sold for around $35K pretty loaded. I would think $25k is a pretty good deal if it's been taken care of.

Jay,
I sold my 2001 SSV last february(2006) for $28K. It had 250 hours on it and was in great shape when I sold it. It had a nice stereo system ($2500k) , heater, Perfect Pass, 3 bag auto ballast, wake plate, bimini, cover, swing toungue on dual axel trailer.
So $25 is a pretty good deal. The boat is a very nice boat, decent wake, the only thing I dont like about the SSV is that it feels like you are sitting on the floor. (low seats). Other than that I loved mine for 3 full years, and would buy from supra again.

If it has some good options ( hyd wakeplate, Prefect Pass, Stereo ) then I say go for it at $25K.

Ok, actually it seems like a very good deal compared to similar ssv's I've seen listed:

Josh Saunders? Who is that? If it was Josh Sanders then it was owned by a professional rider. If thats the case, it is highly likely you are buying a boat that has 340 hours where the boat was completely loaded down and pulling riders. I'm not saying its not a good boat but you should know what you are getting. 340 loaded to the gills hours can take their toll. Everyone else has been super positive so I'm just playing Devil's Advocate to make sure you consider the potential downside.

Sorry for trying to help, clearly you are against anyone that doesn't agree completely with you. I was just trying to determine if I should know who Josh Saunders was. Your welcome anyway, smart ass.

You didn't say what motor it has. If it is the Indmar 330 MPI it is a real good deal.

With the 330MPI 25k is a GREAT deal. I sold my 01 SS DD with nearly 600hrs on it for nearly that much. V-Drives seem to hold higher value than DD. If it is well maintained (mine was) buy it.
