World Champions to Meet at Fiesta Island in Mission Bay, San Diego, Feb 14 and 15, 2004.

Current Wakesurfing World Champion Drew Daniello, and current Skimboarding World Champion Billy Bryan join Surfing World Champion Sunny Garcia and other world champions from wakeboarding, skateboarding and surfing in a unique Wakesurfing event on San Diego Mission Bay.

Hosted by the San Diego Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club and WakeSurfer Magazine, Fiesta Island will be the backdrop as these great athletes come together to ride and promote wake's newest sport -wakesurfing.

The first annual event will be held 10am-4pm, Saturday Feb 14 and Sunday Feb 15 at the west side of Fiesta Island near the short cut.
Look for World Champion Signs.

On Saturday Feb 14, at 1pm, there will be a lunch and signature party at San Diego Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club 2606 N. Mission Bay Drive. www.sdmbbsc.org Directions: Exit Fiesta Island, turn left and stay on this road till the last entrance on the right, just past the Mission Bay Golf Course, about 2 miles. That's a pretty insane turnout!

It's sort of ironic that less than a mile away form the sight will be some moderately sized real surf!

Wish I was going to be in town for it.

Surf is pretty flat today though... might get better stuff behind the boat. It looks like they are main bay? Not that little sheltered spot from the wind with the skijump??

Think I'd rather watch Sunny ride that stuff! Seriously, though, that's pretty cool. Hope you guys get some good videos posted and let us know how it went.
