I have a deal working on a new 2003 X-2:

MCX, CD changer, amp, sub, tower speakers, both remotes, shower, heater, bimini, depth finder, PP, ballast, on a MC trailer...

$46,500

Opinions on price please? Is anyone willing to share the details on what they paid for their boats?

I just bought a 2003 X-2 about a week ago! It has all of the above items you listed w/o the shower and the rear remote. I paid $38,995 for mine. I purchased my boat from a rep. at HO Sports, it was his demo boat with only 40 hours! so its brand new almost! My suggestion is to go out and look for a demo. But the x-2 is the way to go for sure! Good luck!

That doesn't sound too bad. You should be able to buy one in the low $40's. Anthony- you got a really good deal on yours. 40 hours is nothing.

especially in a demo boat, which probably saw most of its hours at idle, and probably only a few loaded up

That price looks pretty good to me. My opinion (free of course) would be to blank the stereo from the factory and do your own. It will save you some $$ and you'll end up with a better one in the long run.

fyi - I paid a little under $42K for my 02X2

Harry, I second Zack - Blank out the stereo and add your own setup.
For what MC charges for the speakers alone, you can get so much more for the money. Example, the new Fusion tower speakers run around 1k+ for a component speaker setup and $400+ for a 4 light bar. Depending on the dealer, you might be able to get "boat buyer" prices on after-market gear. Also, Mako has a sweet setup that integrates 4 speakers, 6 lights, and 2 LED pods for the same price as just a couple of MC tower speakers.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Harry,
Check out www.marineworld.com/usedboats. They have a demo X-2 on there site. If you don't mind driving to Kansas. I have not seen it for a while, so I don't remember the price.
