I've watched plenty of videos on the web and am still having trouble grasping the concept/difference between a backroll and a tantrum. I think its the way you throw the flip but am not quite sure. Can someone please help me!

A tantrum is more of a backflip. Its like a back tuck, you ride parellel with the wake and do a back flip. Its also one handed. A backroll is more like a cartwheel. you cut hard perpendicular into the wake and do a cartwheel. Uusally two handed.

A backroll is basically a side flip and a tantrum is the kind of backflip u'll see people doing on trampolines or off something and into the water

Just got off my friend's trampoline and am (of course) afraid to throw any flip...but was wondering, can you do the backroll rotation on the tramp?

And...has anybody tried tilting the tramp so that you've always got a little pull from the rope?

Yes you can do a backroll rotation on a tramp. But because there is no pull on the rope you don't get laid out like behind the boat. You rotate sideways with the rope as the center of axis of the rotation.

Before I learned the backroll behind the boat I learned it on the tramp. Then when I went out to throw it behind the boat I realized I learned the opposite rotation on the tramp.
