I currently have a 13x13 prop on a 98 Mastercraft 205. It is a little banged up and the dealer is trying to sell me a XMT prop? said it is 12.5x12 and pulls better. Anyone heard of this? if so, what do you think about it?

i have a 13x13 3-blade and it pulls decent on my response. goes really fast when unweighted but i'd like more holeshot for boarding.

i don't know about going to a smaller prop but the pitch will def help. not as much as an 11.5 but enough i guess.

Call Delta Marine In Cincy Oh. I got an ACME prop from them for the same boat that is awesome. Delta 513-467-0601 I can't find the exact model # here at work but think it's #523. Acme props are execellent. Everyone noticed a huge differance and we load our boat heavy! ACME!

The Acme 3 blade is better than a 4 because of the precision way their made and the metals used.I spoke to others who have the Acme before I did and all were pleased. Your right,to much math. Make sure u order their Harmonic prop puller when u call them. its a real easy puller to use and will make your life easier.you just screw it on the shaft, back off 1/4 turn, smack w hammer, walla, magic, it breaks loose. NICE

My Mercruiser manual says that one size pitch change or 1" in diameter will change the RPM by 150.

Artie, I believe it's 1" but Delta will know or you can call MCraft 423-884-2221 ask for Bill for tech help,he'll know for sure. The Acme will be a wise choice, never heard a complaint, I even have a brand new one for a back up.I still recommend the Harmonic prop puller if u don't have one like I said works great. Let us know how it works out.
