I am thinking about buying a Malibu Wakesetter LXi I was hoping to get some positive and negative (if any) feedback on this boat. I have not been able find much out about them so any of you have one let me know....like how's the wake?? how it handles....thanks}

Might want to head over to www.malibuboatowners.com (once it comes back up, that is).

The SLXI came as a wakesetter version for one maybe two years. All it included was the wedge, tower, MLS and waksetter graphics. This boat is a great crossover boat but is a bit better in the slalom arena. IF you want to wakeboard primarily take a look at the wakesetter (formally the Sunsetter LX). This model w/ take less weight to produce a large wake. However you do loose some the of the SLXI's storage. Wakeboard behind eash is the best measure.

I have the sister boat a 2002 Sunsetter LXI with everything that came on the wakesetter except for the tribal graphics. It is a great slalom boat and a good boarding boat but you will need more than that MLS and wedge to create a good wake. With a full tank of gas and 5-8 people the wake is pretty good but the Sunsetter hull was build to ride as high as possible not ride low like other wakesetters.
