I have been getting a lot of water in my hull, which I never got before, and I think it may be coming from the heater core. I winterized it, but I think I may not have done it properly and cracked it.

My question is, can I turn off the water flow to the heater core by screwing in the valve on the top of the motor. Boat is an 06 X2 with MCX.

Any help is appreciated.

I have same boat. The hose from the block to the heater core split (or melted?) and i was taking on a lot of water. I turned the knob on the block off so water would quit circulating through, and then repaired the hose later.

As a side note, now my heater doesn't work and I'm not sure why. Could be related?

Did you get your issue figured out? Was it the heater core or the hose?

I just turned off the knob and that work. I think I have a split in the hose somewhere because it's not leaking from the core.
