This past week I had a board break and had a new one overnighted to me. I figured, hey, why not buy some new bindings too. So I bought a whole new set up. When the board arrived, i positioned the bindings and tightened down the bolts. No big deal. I took it out for a ride and on the first jump, a heel side wake to wake, nothing big, the inside binding bolt came off the board. Now, I knew I had tightened them down, but thought, maybe I had not tightened them enough. No big deal, grabbed an old board w/ same type of fastners, and retightened them. Took it out and rode. At a contest today, when I went to throw my wildcard, as soon as I leave the wake, pop, there it goes again, the same exact one. Now I know there is something wrong. I think that the binding bolts aren't biting enough threads in the board, or the holes in the board are warped. Any ideas. I need to send it back, but the company I bought it from said to take pictures. Obviously in this case, pictures won't really show the cause of the problem.

Try heading down to your local hardware store and buy some longer screws. They're gonna be a standard size, so just bring one of your existing screws with you. Buy some new screws and see if that's where the issue is...if not then you know it's the board.

The only time I had a problem like this was when I mixed and matched two companies boards and bindings (LF board, Hype bindings) My screws were too long though, so I had to get washers to fill the gap so that I didn't tighten it down too much and bust through the bottom of the board.
