Which company has the old 2003 byerly mold/pattern? Anyone know and if so which model? I have broken 2 of them and HATE the 2004 model bottleopener/ropesnatcher/no-edging/POS.

Now Shelby, "don't be hatin'"
The closest thing to a 2003 byerly would be a Gator Randy Harris, but a Hyperlite Premier would be close. You know you could have just asked your friendly neighborhood Memphis Boat Center employee! And by the way, I love the new byerly.

p.s. if you want an O'brien Harris 141, which would be the same thing, we have one left I can sell you cheap.

thx mate! Waiting to try an Atkinson from Sam M. if he ever gets one in. Didn't like the 04 premier we demo'ed. Guess I'm too picky. Who sells Gatorboards here anyway?

the 04 Premier is close. I dont think the GB Harris is that much like the Byerly. A Gator rep. told me that the Mary Jane is just like the old Byerly. Its the one Buster rides. I think several of the Gator Boards have the 1 inch molded fins, the Mary Jane, Caddy, and the Gator.

the byerly is awesome, i haven't snatched the rope with my 2004 Byerly and it has the cut-out flow thru design, you just have to make sure your holding the rope away fromthe board, ( the rope isnt supposed to hit the board anyways )

snatches the rope when on the board rack, not while riding!

but thanks anyway

You know, I have seen so many mixed reviews on the new bylery shape. Ive have never ridden it, but Im a bit suprised I have seen as many negative reivews as a I have. Im really curious what they are going to do with the 2005. Im wondering if they are going to stick with this new design and try and tweak it to make it better. Or if they going to go back to something else. Im thinking they will start tweaking it to make it better. Anytime something completely different comes out in any sport that Im into, such as snowboarding, Mtn Biking ect.. I usually stay away from it for the first few years. Because it seems like it takes a few until they get it dialed in.

shelby,
didn't get much of a try on the transcend, but i couldn't seem to get it to pop, so, i kind of agree. seemed a lot like a tfd to me, in a way.

OWC was selling some used Byerlys (03's) but they were pretty beatdown from sliders. They crop up on E-bay too, but it's the same story.

TFD's are prety wicked though. Close to the same ride and a little lighter weight-wise.
