Anyone out there with any experience behind one of these boats? It's what I have, and any tips on how to set it up for surfing would be appreciated.

...I have a 2000 Maristar 230 vrs that puts out a mean wave...goofy and regular sides...I can vary the height and length of the sweet spot a lot...I have surfed several other boats and this wave has a lot of PUSH...overall its a lot of fun...good all around boat...

I have (3) 750's and a 450lb fat sac and here is what I typically do...

(ALL setups have 450 in center front ski locker...I never empty it, never)

Goofy: 750 in driver side rear locker, 750 on floor horz behind driver seat, and we might have 1 or 2 passengers on the drivers side along with the Driver

Regular: 750 in passenger side rear locker, 750 on floor on passenger side running length wise, then another 750 on top of that one 1/2 on the seats and 1/2 on the sac on the floor, as far forward as possible

I have just put a 750 in either locker for quick session...however if we are wakeboarding prior I like to fill (1) 750 centered on the floor as far back as possible.

Hope that helps, happy surfing

...oh ya and try not to get the rub rail under the water while sitting still or running...about 1" above is ideal

The other thing to watch to is RPM's..we run at 2200-2400 with only one 750 in rear lockers...but 2800-3000 when fully weighted
