LOL! That xstar is an 70-80k boat full on customized out and someone has to rag on it because it has some spider cracks. So just because it has 2 spider cracks (which i have seen a pic of) it isn't a pimped out boat? . I think the boat is sick looking and wouldn't mind having it. Even with the spider cracks.

Hey Duece how did you get a pic of my yacht.

Duece, that door in the back, where the guy is standing... Can you load a smaller boat in there? Cant tell from the pic exactly what goes in there.

.... However, that is wicked.

Josh - you need to know the entire story about that boat, to fully appreciate Paul's comment.

The Octopus cost Paul Allen over US$200 million and has Permanent crew of 60, including several former Navy Seals. It has two helicopters, seven boats, a 10 man submarine and a remote controlled vehicle for crawling on the Ocean floor. The submarine has the capacity to sleep eight for up to two weeks underwater.

Estimated to have an annual budget of $20 million to keep it on the water...

Whats the wake surf wake like?
Old     (boarder_x)      Join Date: Mar 2006       08-24-2006, 10:41 AM Reply
That's the Octopus..... I have seen it before, but that was a long time ago. ... (In a galaxy far, far away) I was in the Navy, and saw it in Morraco. It also has 4 Harpoon cruise missiles. .. Don't know why. If you are going to sink the pirate ship that is attacking you, you wouldn't want to shoot a Harpoon!!!!!! (Long story, that is mostly classified)

That R2D2 looking thing on the very front. (Under all the radar domes) is a Phalynx gun. 6 barrels, that shoots over 3000 rounds per min. Has a magazine that holds just under 1000 rounds.... VERY COOL!!!

Thanks Duece!

That is the ugliest boat I have ever seen. That windshield gives it the awesome jet boat appearance.

Well I guess to each his own.

Easy....that is somebody’s boat....no need to go negative. It is a pimped boat...

Personally it is not for me, but neither is a mullet and there are 50 million people out there sporting them as I type.

To each their own....

Pimped out for wakeboarding, or for a fashion show? Pimped out for me is 2500 pounds of ballast and a speed control system.

Bummer on the windshield...it does serve a function...really.

I am going to modify Attila's idea. Pimped out Boat to me is stock ballast (plenty for me because I am the sh%t's) + subwoofer/battery weight (about an extra 1000lbs) + 22.72 girls.

I think there are 2 or 3 yachts bigger than Paul's now. Not that it isn't rediculously sick. At one point he had something like 3 of the 10 biggest yachts in the world or some crazy ?#%! like that. His next biggest has cutouts in the side to put a 40 foot sailboat on one side and a 40 foot sport fisher on the onther.

OK apperently I forgot to read 882001's post.

Attila-I like your idea about boat usage. I would be willing to bet your wake is a bit bigger than mine anyway (not that I need anymore wake) We are going to be at Tulloch for Labor day. Any chance you will be out that way?
flyhigh 916-good looking out on the .72 girl. Somebody has got to take care of that girl so the rest of us can enjoy ourselves. Everybody loves a team player

Anything going on at Tulloch? I was thinking Baryessa, but I am free next weekend.

I don't think Tulloch is anything like Berryessa for party atmosphere, but I like Tulloch. I was up there a few weeks ago for 4 days and had a great time. My wife's co-worker has a killer house with private dock and all, so we are going to head up. Before this year I was at Berryessa exclusively, so I am trying to branch out a bit. If you end up making it to Tulloch, give me a ring. (650) 922-9736

just a point of information the tattosh has a 70 foot sailing yacht on the side, not 40 ft, mr Allen has 3 of the worlds 10 largest yachts, Octopus is the 3rd largest privately owned boat in the world (there are some owned by arab heads of state that are larger) and tattosh is also owned by mr allen.

heres some more stuff on octopus, the tender "man o' war" is 60 feet long, the sub is in front of it. The bar pictures are on the side of the boat, supposedly it is named after Mr. Allen's sister. And unfortunately no wake boats.

118 WallyPower motoryacht

The guts: Twin diesel engines with a total of 740 horsepower scoot this stealth-fighter-on-water to a surface-skimming 60 mph.

The glory: Both the hull and superstructure are made of strong carbon fiber. Tinted glass lets the sun shine on the guests who claim three en suite staterooms, while the public just sees a black bullet on the horizon.

The pundit: "If it's morning in Miami and you want to have lunch in the Bahamas, this is the boat," says Diane Byrne, executive editor of Power & Motoryachts magazine. "Its other appeal is the sheer attention it will get in the marina with its psycho-origami styling. In a market that's always offering something different, this creation stands out."

The price: $26 million, plus roughly $2 million a year for maintenance, docking and crew costs.

Here's my pimpn' project. The diesel engine puts out 450hp, w/ option to kick it up to 600hp. The exhaust was wet, and we're stacking it about 12' up. The open deck is where we're placing 4k pounds internal ballast. In between my feet and the exhaust a hot tub will sit to finish up our ballast system to equate to 6300 pounds. We have enough juice not just to keep the hot tub steamn', but to power up a massive home stereo system and lighting. She's not very pretty right now, but she'll be pimpn' soon. Upload
