How long of a line can everyone ride with behind their 80's Nautique 2001? Can you get out to 75 or 80 ft. and still have a clean wake.

Also, how much room is under the bow for a fat sack? I am looking at an 80's nautique and would probably put a fat seat in back and a sack up front. Is there enough room under the bow to put a fat sack in there to balance out the weight? Thanks for any info!

I believe I have a 70 ft line. I can also fit a 350 lb sack in the bow. The driver and a little more weight on the other side of the boat will do the trick for evening out the weight. I normally don't any others in the boat, but if you do, you will want to play around to make sure that the weight is evenly distributed.

It's tough because some models don't allow you to evenly distribute the weight in the bow. You should be able to get around 400 pounds up there. Not sure about the fat seat though, we always ran 3 500's back there, two on the side, one in the back as full as they would go. The longest line I was able to ride was 75 feet and I didn't like the wake. It was smaller and more lippy. The more weight, the longer line you can go.

We rode at 70... The wake was the best over there with 500 in the back and 250 up front. I think 400 will fit in the bow.
