Hey Shawn, check out Jim Seaton Marine. He's a mobile marine shop that comes to your house. I've used him a few times and highly recommend him. 530-647-9036

what do they do for $400-$600 for a 100 hr service that can't be done yourself in 2 hours?

I pay $89 for a 100 hour service that includes oil and filter change, checking drive shaft allignment, greasing the rudder, tightenng stearing cable and greasing the trailer bearings. If they notice anything else that needs to be done they may charge more depending on how involved it is. What are they doing for $500?

$300 to $350 is pretty common.

I remember being quoted 370 for V-drive 100 hr service.
This included:
oil
filter
v-drive fluid
tranny fluid
fuel filter
impeller
various dabs of grease

I did it all for less than 80 bucks.

Wow I absolutely hate the service at Ultimate Water Sports in Rio Linda, Ca. Picked the boat up today, and for $600 you think they could at least put the cover back on the boat right(only half the boat was covered for god knows how long). Every time we take the boat in they tell us it will be cleaned inside and out, but again it doesn’t happen. So tired of their incompetence, so they have lost a customer I will never go back to them for anything!!

I can't believe you paid that much for service. I'm with bobby, you could do it all yourself in less than 2 hours for less than $100, and know its being done right, which is priceless.

I've heard that so many times about copes/ultimate water sports from alot of different people. Everything from stereos being ripped off to scratched up gel coats. It's to bad, they sell great boats but piss off so many people because of their service department.

Thanks Shawn, do you have tower speakers on your's? If so, what kind and how do you like them? I am looking at having some installed for this season. Where are you going to have your boat serviced in the future?

No I don’t have tower speakers yet, but I think when I do finally get them I’m going to get a fiberglass box made that hold 4 6x9's. As far as getting my boat serviced Im going to start to do it myself. But if I do have to take to a "pro" there is a local guy in town that has a mobile service. The only dealer I will ever take it to is Larsen Marine in Rancho Cordova. I really like the people that work there, and that’s who I do all my business with as far as boards, boots, vest, ect...
