I would by a fiberglass kit and fill the crack if it's small. If the crack's big, I would take it to your local shop and see if they have any advice. I've taken my boards into my shop a couple of times with some minor dings and they've fixed/patched them up for free along with given me some advice on how to fix them. If it looks like you can't fix it or don't want to, see what your shop'll say. I know Rainbow Fin Co. sells a board patch kit with fiberglass sealer etc. You can use the kit to fix your crack if it's small.

Going over a dock? Please elaborate... How bad it the crack? Only in the finsh or cracked through the whole board. If its not bad, patch it. If its real bad, you may be out fo luck.

I used Solarez on my surfboards for small cracks. Just squirt it on like toothpaste, set it in the sun for a few minutes, then sand it down... easy to use, and works great.
