Hi
I´m about to buy my first wakeboarding boat and I´ve found a 1992 ski sanger for a good deal.
Is that a good boat for wakeboarding? how is the wake after such a boat.
Planning to add a pylon/tower on it if I buy it.
Thx

I have a 1989 Ski Sanger closed bow. We've added a tower, and it does all we need for wakeboarding. It has a pretty decent wake, but we aren't pros either.

The Sangers do use wood stringers, but don't let that be an issue. My only concern would be if the boat has been abused, so definately check out the engine and such. If everything looks okay, buy it and enjoy it. We've had no problems with ours other than routine maintenance issues with a 15 year old boat.

Peter:
I had a 88 Sanger DX2 I sold last year and it was garage kept in excellant condition. W Tower 7 Phat seat it had a great wake. I only sold that because I bought a 96 DLX open bow w 100 hrs in local news papaer. Put a tower and semi auto ballast in it and it is awesome. It;s not a v drive but it does have a great wake and excellant ride.
Like Andy said. If its not thrashed buy it. you wont be sorry.

Prolly the most under rated boat out there. I'm on my second one. Not big on room but will throw a nice wake with some sacs and a few peeps.
