i went to the event at the projects and had a great time, but personally, i believe that they never really had any intention of sponsoring anyone, but had the event as more of a way to win people over, make them feel like friends with the company and those involved...its a great business ploy and i had a great time, but i dont think that they ever had any intention of sponsoring anyone, but that they said that to get more people to show up

Actually last time I spoke with Paul O'Brien they picked up at least one rider from Canada. Not sure when it it will be marketed or announced. Also not sure if they have signed addtional riders since I last spoke with him.

I know a kid who went to the Projects event and says he's sponsored by Ronix now. Great kid, works at the local board shop and used to be on the jr. mens tour before an injury a year or two ago. I'm certain he's not lying.

The guy that Ronix sponsored is Raphael Derome from Quebec, Canada. He's only 13 years old and he won the Canadian Wake Nationals this summer!! I rode with him a few times, he can do huge Moby Dick's in the flats, DumDum's, Nuclear Glides, 7's and kills it on rails!! He even landed a wake to wake ts 9 this summer!! The kid goes big, has alot of style and is super technical. Anyways, you will be hearing alot of him in the future!!

Raph is a good kid and comes from a great wakeboarding family. Great job for both Ronix and Raphael!

The Derome has a KILLER man made wake park on the side of the highway. I saw it when I was driving to Sorel. Got to see some people riding out there but the water sports definitley runs in the family.

*hijack*
If any of the Derome's are on here, I would love to get some more info on your park, pm me!
