I love that pic. I don't think it really is loaded as bad as it looks. I use to take water over the bow on my old direct drive closed bow boat all the time. Where he is in the wake makes it look terribly weighted. I don't have the pic but there is one of a nautique 2001 that has about 5 700 lb sacks in it. It looks like it is going to sink.

Greg that Malibu is sitting still. They were at CIE spring ride, it was sitting low but thats a roller from BC almost going over the bow. they were tied up to other boats and out of harms way so I would say that it wasn't a bad situation at all. HAHAHAH That crew was nuts.

Well if you mixing a cocktail, I would not mix the CIE Bonecrusher II with a Sanger. You would end up with another picture of Eargasam getting beat up but a little more under water! Way to throw the "sack down!" Great pics everybody...

Yeah awesome pics. I thought where the deck meets the hull was pretty much the limit to how low u could sink your boat but i suppose im wrong lol. I still dont understand why u would spend all that money on a boat and then still have to put fat sacks and weights all over the floor.

Huge wakes help get more air, more hang time for you to get the tricks done. But descent skills do it too, good timing, understanding pop & line tension, etc. And it's easier to get a huge wake than to develop those skills. I'm not saying everyone with a big wake has no skills, but the vast majority of monster wakes on the lakes I visit have guys who can barely jump them. Their too busy posin one handed, surfin the wake, etc.

Bill- its their boat that they paid for and if they want to put 4000# of ballast in it and can barely ride thats their choice and nowhere when you buy the boat you arent required to wakeboard only behind it, be a good wakeboarder behind it. If they want the can pose with their giant wake aurf the wake or pose one handed its their damn boat and they can do whatever the fark they want with it. And im not gonna sit on my computer and shat a brick cause i saw some fool with a brand new 80k$ wakeboat and a 10k$ stereo and they can barely ride Im not saying this is what i do, I am just tired of people raggin on other people for the way they use their boat (Message edited by andy13 on August 15, 2008)

That's the sandbar heading towards Tower Park from King Island, about 1/4 mile away from beginning of vegetable garden 5 mile zone. If tide is low, and going to Tower, stay left.

No, it's heading towards Tower Park from White Slough by Stockton. Devil's Island (very small island at the end of little potato slough) is within 100 yards of where that boat landed.

The sanger was Petes 215. As I recall he clipped something submerged. It was up at delta for a while. The front skagg was nearly pushed through the bottom of the boat. That was definate 1 sick ride, he had alot invested in it, as far as toys.

Yeah i understand that fellas. More weight = more displacement=bigger wakes. But im pretty sure there is one manufatcurer putting their ass on the line to maximise their wake. Isnt epic dropping 4000lb of ballast as standard. Surely thats a better option than fat sacks or picking up that group of large women at the end of the bar at 2 am.

I was also on the Sanger when it sunk and it had just started getting dark when we hit the sandbar. We weren't going fast or probably would have been killed - the impact was very hard even going slow. There is some concrete on the sandbar that will stop you on a dime. The coast guard refused to get us off the boat until it was fully submerged, so we sat on a sinking boat for 4 hours, 2 of which the sheriffs stood on shore and laughed and joked while we sank. PLEASE be careful when driving around the area mentioned above, the Sheriffs refuse to mark it because they don't want to be held "responsible" and they said there have been several very bad accidents with serious injuries there, previous to ours. AND YES, IT WAS A GREAT BOAT.

this is pete im the submarine captain of the purple sanger 215 aka eargasm. ya its pretty tough seeing thoes picks of my ride.It had about 15k worth of system and three video monitors on it not to mention the whole interior was don in purple flames.the 52k insurance check sure helped though.Get ready for multiple eargasm cumming soon.

Im pretty sure that how epic does it is they have a lighter boat to start off with than most others. I could be wrong though?? Anyone know how they get away with 4000# legally approved? BTW been meaning to take a pic of mine from the dock got a Tige 20v and we ride around 3000# front rubrail is about 6" out of the water
