Tower Speaker Question

Im in the market for tower speakers now. I have seen the liquid audio cans with either polk, sony, or pioneer speakers in them. From 70-75 feet, would I be able to hear them clearly while Im on the wakeboarding? And they advertise 180-260 watts each (2 cans each, 4 total) and 55-80 rms (depending on which speaker type I go with). Just want it to be enough for me to hear clearly w/o spending the $1k for wetsounds, or nvs, etc speakers.

Clearly? No you wont.

If you know the song and and are actually trying to listen you will be able to hear it and make some of it out. Imo there isnt and tower speaker that can be heard "clearly".

They will be very nice for chillin in and around the boat though.

HLCD's are really worth the price if you want to hear you music at the end of the rope. Otherwise the Polks will sound great close by.

Wetsounds pro-80's. One pair, $900 and 500 watts and you will hear clearly.

If you want to get something that you can hear well to the rider for less money than an HLCD setup, then try some Evid 6.5's. I used to have a pair and they sound very good. The music can be heard while boarding, and you do not need to know what is playing to enjoy it.

I then upgraded to NVS.

I went with the Rockford Fosgate T600-2 Amp. I also had my local audio shop contact Wet Sounds directly and they are ordering them for me at a discount. I cant wait to really hear my tunes from either 75' back wakeboarding or 10' back surfing.

It seems like you just get exactly what you pay for with these audio components...
