Wow! I landed it on my second try in four years too! (My first had been about 2 minutes before and ended up in a wierd S-Bend that I almost pulled off)
Anyway, I'm not so much posting to brag as to give those of you who are scared to try it some incentive. The fact is that I'm a pretty crappy rider. I'm a heelside hero and can only do backrolls and grabbed fs 180s.
I have a jumping style that is heavy on line tension and I knew that I had the balance so it was a matter of getting the guts up. I just told myself all day: Backroll, 180, then raley. I didn't tell anyone on the boat that I was going to try one because I didn't want the pressure.
I know that so many of you on here are a million times better than me but can't do raleys so man up and get out there and do them! They're incredibly fun!!!
Now, maybe I can learn how to go w2w toeside!
