Has anyone upgraded the floor locker sac from 550 to 1000lbs. Big diff? Worth it? Thanks!

I don't think there is an option like that. I throw a 600 across the front seat tho.

fluid concepts offers a 1000 lb sack for the center locker. it will only fill 7-800 lbs though.

Skydog, That's the one. Is it worth the effort? Thanks.

anytiem you can get more weight with less effort, its worth it.

but you have to ask yourself, is it worth the money

personally i think so

What do you guys think about the weighting ratio for the vlx's. I'm still playing around but the factory ballast with wedge I think is 500 middle, 1300 in the back if you agree the wedge adds 900 lbs. I've added 200 lbs in sand in the bow (under the seats) and 150 lbs in each rear locker. With 2-4 people in the boat it's pretty decent, and we're looking for a little more vert than rampy.

How does the fluid concept locker sac fill more than the stock? It looks to me that the stock sac fills the locker space almost completely. There might be a litte room towards the bow, but not way does it look like you have the room for 2X the weight of the stock sac. Anybody actually have one?? If it really does add 2X the weight of stock , I want one.

This is how my 03VLX is weighted (currently).

Stock MLS (200 on each side in the back plus the 500 in the locker) = 900

Then I have a 600lb sac across the front seat (horizontal) and side sacs in the back (250 each)

That's 2000lbs of water, then the wedge which we use half the time depending on whos riding). When we don't bring alot of people we put another 600lb sac in the wrap-around seating area for an even...BIGGER wake :-) Takes forever to plane, so we usually do without that one.

I run MLS, 500 lbs lead in the bow, and a 500 lb side sack on each side of the engine (filled to about 400 lbs). That adds up to be about 2200 lbs. With this configuration it doesn't take long to plane and the wake is great as far back as you want to ride.
