Hey all,

For the past 3 years I've been riding an '01-'02 (?) Byerly 142 that came with the boat I bought (an '82 Ski Nautique). I'm looking for a new setup this year. I called one local shop, and they want $25/day or $40/weekend to demo a board. I've never demo'd a board before, does that sound about right? There's 4-5 boards I'm interested in, but shelling out $200 for demos sounds a bit crazy. I'm wanting to try an Absolute, Transcend, Watson, PS3, and maybe a Natural. Any opinions on demo-ing? Are any of those boards similar enough so I could just demo one or the other?

Thanks!
J
