I read on a recent post that Rathy was "supposedly" trying bs 12's. After seeing his bs 10's, I'm sure he could even stick the bs 12 this year. One day, I think he will turn a wrap bs 12 into a switch ts wrap fs 1440. How do you think the first 14 will go down?

Very quickly and from a long way up! I'm guessin Switch Toe. With the wrapped moves coming back big, I gotta put my chips on it being wrapped.

I don't see it happening at all. The 12 Harf landed looked seriously sketched out with a butt check at the end to stand it up. No knock on Harf's 12, but it just seems exponentially more difficult to land anything after a 9 for the pros. If it does happen, definitely wrapped just to get the momentum for the spin.

it will happen. wakes will get bigger. so will the moves. more 12s will need to go down before 14s come into it though.

I heard harf has something really big planed for his doc. coming out next year and that the video is going to be pushing the sport like nothing else before i am sure we will see another 12 but could it be a 1440 hum i wonder what it could be.

I think we'll see Rathy throwing 12s all over the place this year. I think he has the skill for a 14, but there are still so many things he can be trying before he even starts working on that particular move.

Don't forget about Steel. Wake to wake 10 cleaner than any 10 off the double up so far.

If I was rathy and could throw 12's all over I would sure as hell try and be the first guy to hit the 1440. I think it can be done, but when it is it will be ugly.... the video will be posted here and everyone will talk how it wasn't clean enough for them

i don't see it happening for a while. harf spun about as fast as it looks like is humanly possible so i'd say its gonna take bigger wakes for a 14 to be landed.

If you could combine Danny's ability to spin off axis toeside and Rusty's ability to land anything blind - possibly. I'll say I dont see it happening at this point, not next year anyway. I could honestly see Rathy doing it wrapped backside just as much as anyone doing it toeside/frontside. When you do a toe 9 you land open to the boat, this is MUCH easier than having to land wrapped in the blind position or making another half turn with the handle pass. This is why every pro can do a 900 and only a handful of folks have done 1080's. And of the handful of people who have done 1080's only a a few have actually landed multiple ones.

I was wondering, since the wrapped question was brought up, if anyone has tried a double wrap. I know that it sounds crazy, but from my old kneeboarding days, my brother used to do 720's with a double wrap... I tried it a few times, but the rope always got hung up for me..... Just a thought, and you might want to use a trick release, since you could get hurt if the rope did not unwrap....

boats and wakes need to get bigger. once that happens then bigger spins will happen more.

I see Harf doing it. If you go back to the video of some of his 12 attempts, a few had time to keep going. The one he landed wasn't anywhere near as big as some of the attemptss

Man, I hope not. Like Nick said, it's gonna be ugly. I'm not gonna say the whole, I would rather see....out into the flats, but come on. After a certain point you look like a snowboarder in the pipe hucking ugly crap where there upper body is 180 degrees ahead of there lower body, just ugly! I hope with bigger wakes you will just see more style added to 9's.

If a 14 on water looks anything like a 14 on snow, it's gonna look ugly. I'm sure Rathy will grab a bs 12, so grabbing a wrap ts 14 is possible too. Either way, it's still gonna look like total carnage.

speaking of harf spinning/doing something cool in an upcoming documentary, I've been a bit out of the loop on backside spins since the backside 9 rusty landed, apparently rathy's been doing backside 10's? anyways, Harf has some crazy awesome corked out backside 7 with a nose grab, shane called it a mocha latte I believe, he got booed on one in brostock and it seemed like he could have easily gone to 9. thoughts? I know you're all thinking about quadrupple digits but a clean completely corked out backside 900 with a legitimate nose grab? sounds pretty cool to me.

1440? Why is it that once a new trick is landed, its only cool for a couple days and then everyone just looks to the next bigger trick. I say skip it and go straight for the 1620...grabbed and backside.
