Where to buy lead weights

I don't know if this has already been a thread, but I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy lead bricks. I know there used to be a couple companies but I can't find any information anywhere.

I bought 45lb lead bricks from Alco metal surplus in San Leandro, Ca for $20 each. Look in your local phone book for surplus metals and give them a call. Shipping lead is a lost cause.

Thats kind of what I was thinking about also, did you have them coated with anything? Because I was looking into buying just some lead weights and then getting them sprayed with something like Rhino Lining thats meant for truck beds

I had ambitions of painting them but I am only using one right now, it's wrapped in a towel. I make sure to wash my hands in PCB oil while sniffing asbestos particles after handling it
