I am looking into purchasing a boat next spring (still haven't decided on new or used) and am curious how much room there typically is to work on from MSRP. Back in my MX racing days when I was buying a bike every year or two I always planned on an out the door price of at least 10% below MSRP. When I bought my last new truck I paid about 16% below MSRP. Can I expect the same with a new boat? Do people typically pay 10 - 15% below MSRP or is this not the case with new boat purchases?

Depends sometimes on inventory. If you're looking to negotiate, pick a boat that's in stock and make sure they have plenty of them, then go for your 10-15%. Those numbers are realistic.
