21v ballast upgrade?

what setup are you using to upgrade front and rears?

The gravity games bags , 1150 in the front take your old front move to the back and buy another front bag for the other side in the rear . i used this in a 21v worked killer

That is what a lot of 21V owners do on here. At least do the front bag. The 21V is very ass heavy so the front is more important, but might as well splurge and do it just like Dave B said.

I kept the front bag, but added about 450lbs of lead in the nose, and then put the Fly High 750's in the rear. Its hard enough to fit those in completely. Works great for me.

I opted for a bit different approach....I took out the 250 +/- lb rear bags and put 450's in there while keeping the stock front bag. Running around 1500lbs ballast.

The wake is DIRTY when you start adding people. Here's a pic with just 3-4 in the boat and the weight above. Wakeplate at half, 75' and 24.5mph

good pic NAW. Yeah I have found the more weight in the back, the steeper it gets, so really depends on what you like in your wake.....

I have the 750's in my 22, I agree, I wish I would have gotten the v-drive sacs (400-450lbs). Upgraded the front bag, but even with that I could use more weight up front. you wont' be able to get the 750's to fill all the way anyways.

I went with 750's in the back, and they will fill all the way in a 21v.... Well, close enough anyway....its pretty much a perfect fit.

I don’t fill the rear all the way when wakeboarding though. Since I didn’t add weight to the front. At times I do use the stock 250’s up front but I don’t really see a big benefit, just more gas used. That, and at even half full the wake is plenty big for me.

One reason I went with 750’s in back was for wakesurfing. I stack up the surfing side with a full rear 750, a mostly full front stock bag, and use the two 250s in seating area on the surfing side. Wakeplate anywhere from 3/4 to all the way up….And it is awesome.

Here's a pic of my wake. I love it to death. My lake is only 5-7 feet deep. Just think if it were like 20 feet deep, hmmmmmmmm.

what comes stock in the front bag of 2005 21v

damn bbr, that is pretty nice. it's so hard to get an awesome wake outta water that's only 4'-6' deep.

Yeah, tell me about it. I have finally figured out just how to make it sweeeeet. I am yet to take it to a deep lake. I can only imagine it when I do.

Today, we were on a private lake that was only 4' and the wake was still nice. Had a great shape, just a tad smaller than I'm used too.

Danny-The middle bag on the 21V is 650lbs. For '05 and '06 the rear bags were about 250 each. For '07, they've put 400's back there from the factory.

I run the gravity 1100 lbs bag on the front, 750s on the rear. I like it steep (ride a 210 Natique on my off days) and big. I upgraded to an Acme 13.25x15 prop cause it couldn't get going with the stock setup but suggest the new 14x14 or whatever close to it that they sell. I was on a loaded up 24 SSV with that and it was driving like an unweighted 21V. Amazing the difference on performance and economy.
