I'm looking to purchase a carport for my 2004 X-Star to keep the rain off of it during the summer. I don't want to have to take the tower down so it has to be tall enough. Not to mention it needs to be about 23' in length. Has anyone purchased a carport that would accomodate these requirements? Any recommendations?

I've seen a bunch online for $2000+ but that is much more than I want to spend. I'm just looking for something to keep the rain and sun off in the summer.

Thx

My roommate had one built for our boat. I think he mentioned spending just over 2k on it and it was made to his specs.

Damn Stanfield,

I'll bet the neighbors love that thing. I'd like to do the same, but my home owners association would have a cow.

If you have a costco store, they have a 10x20 for around $165. Extend the legs 2 1/2 ft each and no problem w/tower. Need longer...buy 2

These are the Cosco ones, £135 UK and then we extended the legs to take the tower, cost about £150 in steal, but its a 4 man job.

How tall do you guys run them? 12 foot minimum to clear tower??

Depends on your boat, tower and board racks, but we only needed to add about a meter. The different white cover shows where the original would have been. The new steel as only been used on the outer poles, the others have been extended from an early (2 Years) costco one.

View from inside.

Not to change the subject but you asked about speaker covers, we just bought these from Screamin Sacs. We also bought guides and board rack covers. (http://www.screaminsacs.com/products.php)
