Does anyone know where some reasonable priced aftermarket add on ballest for the rear of the boat and some for the front of the boat?

Thanks for all info!

just buy 2 sets of fly high v-drive sacs put one in each back locker one in the bow on the floor and one in the bow on the seat. the one in the bow on the seat will roll so put vest behind it so it doesnt roll back. makes a great wake.

the 250 lbs (each) v-drive sacs made for nautiques work well in the rear compartments if you want some fuel efficiency and don't want to overkill the wake (ie not try to turn an x2 into a xstar)... not to mention they're much cheaper for the pair than the sacs made for the X2... i'm using a few hundred lbs of tractor weights in the front of mine right now and going to buy smaller bags for up there next yr

Andrew has his 06 x2 dialed in perfect...whatever he's got...get it (I'm sure he'll chime in, if nto search for x-2 ballast, he did a write up). I ride in an identical x-2 with another weight configuration and the wake sucks.

Hey Andrew.... Thanks for the link. Did you put just one sac in the front of the boat or 2? One on each side?

the front is one fly high integrated bow sac

the back are essentially the fly high x2 rear sacs

how well do they empty?

So you have the bow sac wrap under the seating then....

yep under the seats, and i figured it would empty 80% but i'd say in reality my experience has been it empties 95%, better that the rear sacs. not sure how that is the case though. when emptying towards the end i drive 10 mph or so to raise the nose up and help all the sacs drain. but you would think some water would get caught on the opposite side, but it doesn't...

95% is pretty dang good... I'll probably do the upgrade over the winter.. i have 2 400lb launchpads... I wish there was some way I could trade someone for the 2 rear x-2 sacks. The wake is fine for me now... I would just use the extra setup when a guy that used to ride pro rides with us. He said he likes it the way it is now... but he would like to see what it could be like....

you could easily tie in the rears now and just put in x2 sacs when and if you get them. saves so much time and effort not to fill all that crap by hand. now i use that time to relax and stretch. getting old.....
