I have been to OWC a long while back and took a trip specifically to TSR a few years ago with wakeboard friends to ride their cable. I love riding the cable even though we have a tow boat. This weekend we went up to Big Bear to visit family and I remembered the last minute to throw my board in the car. I was glad I did. Although my body is not so happy yet. I rode Beg Bear Cable Wake Park even though it's the smaller of the 2 in Big Bear. One, for it was the first one I happened to drive by and second, it was empty at the time so I didn't have to worry about waiting. I am in no way a natural cable rider. I enjoy it more to attempt sliders and kickers or as I call them "obstacles that I attempt to stay up on without looking too uncoordinated". It was still a blast even if you only get about 50 yards of riding before trying to master the quick U-turn. Anyway, it was fun before I tired myself out and realized how out of shape I am. Now I hear the the Wake Compound cable park at Lake Elsinore is closer to becoming a reality and its got me more pumped about riding. I know they just opened the one down in Mecca past Palm Springs but 50 miles is a lot closer than 130. I know there have been attempts all over So Call so I hope this one works out.
