Nearing completion of project #1 on the new boat. Bow filler sub box for our 205V. It houses a 12" Kicker sub. Some final touchups yet to be done, but you get the idea...

Pretty cool Paul. I may have to steal that idea.

Are those cup holders....or ports?

They are cup holders and they are sealed off from the rest of the box. And yes...your beverage of choice will get highly shaken when the sub is thumpin'.

a friend of mine did the same exact thing in his X10. he ended up taking it out because it didnt sound so great. he bought the sub specifically knowing it would be firing downward, but he still didnt like the sound of it.

let me know what you think of the sound once you get it hooked up.

Matt,
It's hooked up and I'm pleased with the sound. The sound is much fuller than when I had it in a box inside the flip up storage area in our former X10. Putting a "box in a box" muffled the sound and you only really felt the 'hit' of the sub rather than it's full range.
