Wakesurfing on a Cruisers 3575 vs. Maristar 230VRS

Got out behind a big boat last night. All I can say is WOW. A lot of fun - different experience altogether. Here is the comparison:

We get what most people consider to be a great wake behind our 230 with 2600lbs of ballast in it, but it is nowhere near the Cruisers.

Not a very green carbon footprint... but a fun trip...

How fast were you going behind that cruiser? It looked fast!

That speed was a question of great debate. The boat was reading 18 knots. I didn't have my Garmin with me that I use on my maristar. iPhone GPS was inconsistent, but seemed around 13. I don't buy that considering I ride at 12-13 on the Maristar (GPS).

If I had to guess, I'd say we were in the 15mph range, maybe 16. 18 seems too high.

looks like fun i did the same thing behind my friends 42 trojan. It's a totally different experience the wave is just so fast and turning around sucks. That said there is nothing like having 4 people behind on boat the same time
