IS the same boat as the 2002 X-star. They only changed the name. I don't realy like the name but it's that makes the wake

I think Master craft needs some new names for their boats X2, X5, X7, X9, X10, and X30

Congratulations on your new purchase. It looks sweet. I still hate to see the boat called an X2. It is an X-Star.

John, I think the naming was fine until the X-2. Prior to the X-Star name change, the numbers went up according to size, now they make no sense with the X2. The original theory was to call it X-Series, as some early '03's have these decals, but I was told MC thought that it would become confusing, considering the whole line is named "X-Series."

Sweeet Boat ....I dont think it matters what the decal on the side says as long as it throws an outstanding wake .....enjoy

I’m very surprised that the X-2 does not come with prefect pass, you’d think they wouldn’t down grade from the 2002 model. Also what are the hose’s in the ski locker, I’m guessing they’re for the ballast but I’m just curious.

Yes Shawn they are for the ballast. Actually the X2 is more expensive than the 2002 X-star Because now the Perfect Pass is an option and the sound system is an option. The triple KGB is standard. Fore riding it I have to waith thill April because it is to cold for the moment and we can't get on the lake yet.

Nick, I think your right it does not make sense now. Maybe that is what they are trying to do.

MC told me the perfect pass and stereo are standard on the X2 as was the case the year before when it was called the original xstar. Triple KGB also standard. My X2 wasn't higher than the original xstar. In fact I got it cheaper than some left over Xstars other dealers had. Maybe they have changed what is standard now. It was back in the summer when I ordered mine.

Wilson, are you sure? Because I'm going to ask him to give me the Perfect Pass.

PP is not a standard option on the X2... but, I have heard that most dealers are throwing it in for free.

That is a very nice looking boat!!! Congrats on it! One thing I am mixed about is the late 70' Trans Am dash !!

Nice Boat - I'm jealous. You could always get the wood kit for the dash.
