I have been trying to get some leadheadz, but unfortunately i probably wont get them becasue of costums in Mexico. I was thinking about getting some tractor weights put in the bow of the 2002 x star, they are supposed to be 45 kilos or 99 pounds each and measure 14 by 16 inches. I have not seen the weights, and have not measured the space under the bow seats in my boat because it is at the lake. Has anyone done this to a similar boat. I would be putting three of those plates in each sideof the bow. a total of 594lb in the bow. if any one has done something similar please tell me how you set them. thanks!

I've used tractor weights in my SAN and they work pretty well. Lotsa weight in small space. Make sure they are coated with something to prevent rust. They're also pretty unwieldy -- big and HEAVY. Luckily they have a handle built in but they are stil large enough you can't just put them anywhere. I have one in the nose, another on under left bow seat and one on either side of the engine for total of 400lbs. You should have a little more space to work with in your X than I have.

Good luck!

JJ -- unless your handle matches your boat you're preachin' to the choir!

Alejandro-
what up dude? just saw your post and figured that I would say hello. Have you been riding much? I have been going 2-3 x/week. It's still spring here so our season hasn't really gotten into full swing yet. I feel like I have a head start after riding with Travis so early this year. Plus, we were going here when it was 50 degrees both in the water and air. Hope that everything is going well for you. later
