was out over the weekend and noticed the pp speed was inconsistant (choppy water)..

so we changed perfect pass over to the rpm mode and the ride was so much better (even confirmed this in smooth water..) major night and day differnce

anyone else doing this ?

I've done it before, but only because my speedo was broken and the mph wasn't registering. It can be very effective, however.

rpm mode seemed to hold the pocket better..we'll still look at the speed but it wont use it as the absolute guide.

clubmyke, I've noticed that also but not just with wakesurfing. When the water is calm, PP in speed mode is right on but when in choppy water, it's all over the place. When it's choppy, I try to keep a close eye on the rpm's. The camp I went to ran nothing but rpm mode and it seemed consistent, but then we were the only boat on the water.
