I am really proud to be a part of this wakesurfing series, for a number of reasons. First and foremost is the caliber of people I am working with. The likes of Mike Armstrong, Jerry Price and Dennis Horton and my lovely wife Judy. These folks are tireless in their commitment to the sport and our series. I couldn't do it without you folks and I am SO glad that you are the foundation of the AWSA.

Again, many thanks to Chuck and Linda Payton for their promotion of all things water sport related. I know that in supporting this wakesurfing series, you are pioneers. Many props for your risk taking and for allowing us this much fun and the opportunity :-)

A special thank you to Kayce Brewer, Marketing Manager and Cebturion boats for pulling this contest. Kayce brought her shiny new '07 Enzo. Switchblade and Sideswipe equipped. See below for pictures.

Trophies that were given out at this 3rd stop.

Jeff, sick pictures. Hopfully we can get a good goofy wake next time. How did you guys like Shasta?

Hey Mike,
I hope that we get a good goofy wake next time also. Shasta was everything I remember except that there are alot more boats on the lake now then there was 20 years ago.

Hey Mike, I too hope we can deliver a decent goofy wake. In talking with folks associated with the lake, I was informed that the water level was down around a foot from normal, so this made it even TOUGHER for the Enzo to toss a wake. What we experienced wasn't indicative of what the Enzo is capable of.

In MY experience, all boats favor one side over the other. And I know that my Tige, which is what will pull the next contest, will favor the regular side over the goofy side.

Chuck has offered to get us some lake time on the Friday before this next and final stop so HOPEFULLY, I'll be able to deliver suitable wakes on both sides of the boat.

I really appreciate your understanding Mike, you have been exceptionally patient with us as we struggle a bit to fine tune the series.

What's the minimum age for the Master's Division? Hopefully I'm quite a few years away yet!

Are any video's available of some of the runs?
Old    surfdad            07-11-2006, 3:36 PM Reply
Well...I'm the youngest and I'll be 50 in 2 months. :-) We play the divisions by ear at this point. The INT League isn't about age, but skill level...however, we old guys didn't want to get shamed by some whippersnappers :-) so we created the masters division. :-) If you're better than we are, you are TOO YOUNG. :-)

I am so photgraphically challenged, I'm lucky to have snapped a picture or two! :-) I will try and get some video's of the fourth and final stop, however - NO PROMISES!!!!!! :-) Hawaj, why don't you fly out from the Czech Republic and be our videographer! :-)
