my prop was recently dinged up and I plan to have it fixed, but I want to buy a backup prop for several reasons...the main one being that I wont have my prop back for 2 weeks.

I have an 02' VLX and I typically run the full ballast, 500lb in lead, 350lb sack, plus the wedge 23.

Anyone have experience/suggestions on what prop work best with this configuration or should I just stick with the stock prop? I ride the delta a lot, so stainless steel is pretty much out.

Thanks!

Props are overrated bro. I run my vlx w/ an umbrella you get from those fruity drinks. It'll set you back like 5 or 6 bucks for the drink, but just pull the toothpick off, put it on your drive shaft.... sthhhhiiiick.

throws a wake bigger than the new x-star from MC. its at least 3' w/o ballast, so its easy to do fashion airs.

peace

Go to Malibuboatowners.com and under group buys look for the posts on Acme props.

Bill Weeks of ACME suggested the # 537 for Wakesetters with ballast. It is 13.5 x 16. the #381 is your stock prop.

The price is right with the group buy as well.

This would help your hole shot.

You would be much happier with the Acme 13.5 x 16. That's what's on my boat. I removed the 13.5 x 17.5.

Sorry guys, you'll have to register on the site to see group buy pricing. We do that to protect the vendor that is giving us the discount, which is the same reason why we can't provide pricing here.
