I finally really have a good handle on the progressive edge deal. But when I go to go big it basically scares me and I cant control it. Last Friday I ended upsidedown........how the hell did that happen? I mean i launched WAY out into the flats but ended up with my feet over my head. This is my first year doing this so be kind with the responses. I am really trying to concetrate on having the handle into my hip as I take off but ANY TIME I GO BIG once I'm up, it really pulls me forward.............HELP!

without any pics and/or vids, it's tough to say what you're doing wrong.

maybe you're letting the handle out as you come off the wake...it's the cause of being pulled forward.

maybe your not cutting ALL the way threw the top of the wake.

I had the same trouble this year - it's my first season having any clue - So when I cut, I would ease up and basically be "pulled" instead of "pulling" into the wake. Does that make any sense? Anyway, the process would throw my feet behind and as a result, a good face plant would follow. Luckily, my girlfriend was usually the only one to see it.
Anyway, a friend pointed out to cut hard and stand tall off the wake. Huge improvement.

if it's pulling you out the front, try keeping a firmer body position. if you relax off the top of the wake, the boat will have no trouble pulling you over.
