this is what my shaft seal looks like and it is dripping quite a bit probably about once a second. I would like to try to just tighten it first to see if that slows the dripping, I think I know how but just in case can some one enlighten me on how they do it? (pretty sure I just back off the jam nut tighten the larger nut and then re-tighten the jam nut - small one - back down)

If this doesn't end up working what size packing is used?

I have a 2001 Sanger Sang Air and the shaft is 1 1/8"Upload
