Jon's finger loss

Just got back from Shasta for a week so I am catching up. Geeze, this article on Jon loosing his finger is alarming. Time for me to get a break-away connection for the rope! Did lots of surfing at Shasta and felt like the chances of getting spooled by the rope were pretty great.

i read that he was telling others not to mess with the rope and he did what he was telling others not to do?? Dont mess with the rope that has hundreds of psi of force sitting on it, just like dont swim around the exhaust while the engine is running....
