Planning to replace my hull speakers with new ones. Is there a big difference in quality between component systems and 2-way coaxial?

yes, components will sound better but they'll also need more power

There is a big difference in quality between systems. Component systems usually incorporate a crossover to filter the correct frequency to the correct speaker. Since the tweeter is separate from the midrange speaker midbass is improved and if tweeter placement is correct imaging is greatly improved. Also, powerhandling is increased so it's important to power components with a separate amplifier versus the head unit.
